[...] My nervousness came to a peak on Sunday, when I received a few last minute interview questions to answer, including one referencing my time with Circus Bacchus and asking if I considered myself an ‘anarchistic’ performer. I told them a bit about my circus history and what direction I see myself going in now. I thought about trying to cover up some of the legal issues CB has run up against, but I decided to answer honestly because honestly, I’m quite proud of my time with Bacchus. We dove head first into this whole ‘circus’ thing and sure, we had some issues with the law, with ourselves and with other performers, but we did what we did out of love and integrity to a vision that we weren’t even aware we were pursuing. I learned a lot working with CB and I wouldn’t change that, even when the director of a circus school sees pictures of us being shut down by the police.
